Diagnostics & Solution Identification

(also known as Baselines)

• For wide-ranging reviews of business areas, Diagnostics & Solution Identification can be done separately or together.
• It is important to set targets in advance.
• It saves a lot of time if some specific data can be measured and analysed in advance.
• Depending on the business area, Diagnostics & Solution Identification together could take a team only 3-5 days.
• The team would include you and some of your key staff, plus an external facilitator.
• Other key stakeholders can be involved through attending briefings by the team during and after the event.
• Because these events normally define the current state and propose a number of improvements that can step up performance, they are frequently known as Baselines.  As such they are also a form of High Impact Event – please refer to Implementation to see how they can be used in conjunction with other High Impact Events.
• Once solutions have been identified, they can be implemented.
